RapidShare FREE Downloader
If you have downloaded more than one file from RapidShare FREE service, you may agree that is a slow process that becomes tiresome after a while. I developed an application to make your life easier in that process. I named it "Akachan RapidShare Free Downloader (ARFD)". In summary:What this software do:
- Helps you to download unlimited amount of links completely unattended using the RapidShare FREE service, giving you free time to do other stuff while your PC does the rest.
- It does not give you any PREMIUM service advantages in RapidShare, so...
- It does not able you to download more than one file at once.
- It does not able you to download at a faster speed.
- It does not search for files within RapidShare servers.
So, how this software works?
- You add as much links as you want to download (e.g. http://rapidshare.com/files/....)
- Click on "Add links" button
- Click on "Download" button
- Wait until all your files are downloaded (one by one)
Download Akachan RapidShare FREE downloader:
RapidShare.jar (36 Kb) v.1.5 (2008-10-25)
It does not require installation (because it is JAVA), so technically you can run it in Linux, Windows, Mac, etc. without any problem. However I have just tested it in Linux.
To run it: (It requires JAVA 6)
java -jar RapidShare.jar
Notes:
You can see all the log process if you run it from a console (command prompt).
Troubleshooting:
In case an "Out of memory" error occurs, or the application is not downloading properly, try to append "-Xmx256m" to the command, for example:
java -jar -Xmx256m RapidShare.jar
However, I think it will not be necessary.
